"I enjoy the process of discovery in my abstract paintings. Usually, I begin with an idea of what the painting is going to be, along with the colors I want to use, but I always let the process take me wherever it wants to go. There is a special moment with each painting when something happens that I wasn’t expecting and that is often the moment that defines the work itself. It’s this sense of discovery and exploration that keeps me going back to the canvas again and again."
